教學目標
(1) To know the fundamentals of what, why, and how to conduct a research in the context of management.
(2) To know the basic concepts and techniques of data analysis used in doing research.
This course is to discuss how to conduct a research in the management context covering marketing, production, human resource, research & development, innovation, and information management. Students will be selecting an individual topic in any management domain by reviewing materials. They then seek for a research problem that existing literature yet addressed, followed by research motivation and objectives. Research methods including quantitative and qualitative approaches will be discussed, which students can select to reach to their research objective(s). The statistical techniques used to collect and analyze data will be discussed. The course outcome is that each student can present a research proposal by the end of this semester.
