1. As global economic growth occurs, understanding marketing in all cultures is increasingly important. International Marking addresses global issues and describes concepts relevant to all international marketers. 2. The course is designed to stimulate curiosity about about management practices of companies seeking market opportunities outside the home country and to raise the students’ consciousness about the importance of viewing international marking management strategies from a global perspective.

教學目標
The research method deals with a procedure that follows scientific examination principles to derive outcomes. This course introduces: (1) the types of research method (i.e., qualitative and quantitative) in the context of management, (2) the ways to collect data, and (3) the techniques to analyze data. Sample cases demonstrating the research methods to deepen the understandings and skills of the above three concepts are discussed. A term project is assigned to experience the procedure of research methods. The course objectices for learners are:
(1)To learn the fundamentals of what, why, and how a research method is used in management.
(2)To learn the basic concepts and techniques of data analysis used in research methods.

(1) Introduction to the course.
Stages 1: How to find and conceptualize a reseadch problem:
(2) Briefly review related literature.
(3) Find research area interested and read relevant materials.
(4) Research problem (what is unknown) (research motivation).
(5) Research objectives (what outcomes being reported).
(6) Literature review & hypothesis (or proposition) development (reading and find some specific questions that yet answered). Midterm exam.
Stage 2: How to achieve the research objectives (Research method).
(7) General research method (quantitative and qualitative approaches).
(8) Review data analysis techniques.
(8) Concepts about causal relationship (independent v. and dependent v.).
(9) Assign and explain datasets and research model for practice.
(10) Data analysis using statistical techniques (descriptive and inferential statistics.
(11) Present analysis report.

This course focuses on practices/discussions and aims to train students' core competencies in their careers. In the course, external business visits will be arranged, and students will be asked to report their thesis research overview and give guidance. This course also provides students with the training to integrate theoretical research and increase their practical knowledge, which will facilitate their future employment or further education.
